Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of online media by students in educational courses and structures in the Building Engineering Education study program UNJ. This research is a descriptive study using a survey method. The population of this study were students of the Building Engineering Education study program class of 2017 and 2018 who had implemented structural and educational courses in the even semester (112) of the 2019/2020 Academic Year, a total of 297 students. The sampling technique in this study used cluster random sampling, so that a sample total of 160 students. Data collection using a questionnaire. The results showed that educational courses used more online media than structure courses. In addition, the most widely used online media is google classroom and whatsapp group with a percentage of more than 80%. The types of online media used in educational courses include google classroom, whatsapp group, email and quizizz. Meanwhile, in the structure course, online media only uses google classroom and whatsapp group. Students take advantage of online media to obtain references or learning resources, as a means of discussion, download subject matter and easy studendts in accessing online media in the good category.
